全部拍賣 / Ethnographic / Natural Shoushan Jasper with Buddha head
- Shoushan Jasper Green with Buddha Head of hematite.- VERY RARE - FIRST QUALITY The Shoushan jasper (or Shoushan stone) is a unique semiprecious stone, cherished both for its historical value in Chinese craftsmanship and for its attractive natural patterns in modern jewelry. The Shoushan jasper is a gem that is mined exclusively from the village of Shoushan, in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. Although commercially called "jasper" due to its opaque appearance and veining, mineralogically it is often described as a type of alabaster or high-quality pyrophyllite. History and Culture: It has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage in China. It has been used for centuries in the creation of imperial seals and detailed carvings due to its softness for carving. Appearance: It presents a wide range of colors including earthy tones, blues (often called "aqua terra"), greens, reds and yellows. It is common to find it with patterns that imitate snake skin or landscapes. In the field of crystal healing and wellness, it is attributed with various qualities: Energetic Protection: It is considered an amulet against the "evil eye" and negative energies. Balance and Meditation: Like other jasper varieties, it is believed to help balance Yin and Yang energies and promote spiritual connection. Vitality: It is associated with strengthening self-confidence and providing positive energy. The beads are threaded on a cotton/silk blended thread with a knot on each bead. It is a very versatile necklace that can be worn in many different ways depending on the occasion.
